WE ARE HIRING : SOCIAL WORKER POSITION

Fiona Johnson Limited, a highly-reputed Expert Witness and Case Management company, is continuing to expand its reporting and advisory services.  

We are currently seeking an experienced and credible Social Worker with significant experience in social care needs assessments and funding awards looking to undertake independent work.  You will be a social worker registered with Social Work England or the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).  You will remain in a Local Authority post or have up to date knowledge of the Care Act 2014 framework for assessing care needs.  You will be interested in working on a self-employed basis preparing detailed reports, including for the court, on social care and support needs.

You will need to travel to carry out the assessments throughout the UK from your home base. You will work from home and have remote communications with our office.

Previous expert witness experience is not essential, as we can support you with a bespoke in-house training package.  


However you must have:

  • At least 8 years’ post-qualification professional experience;

  • Be registered with Social Work England/ HCPC;

  • Excellent verbal, written and personal presentation skills;

  • Confidence in your own professional judgement;

  • Great attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work including reviewing records and preparing lengthy documents;

  • Excellent IT skills and provision of own equipment/ work space;

You will be expected to manage your own time effectively and complete assessments/ written materials to a high standard. We are able to provide you with the support, training and consultation you will need for an independent role through a fully managed workload and a dedicated administration team.
