Tanya Moffett is a dual qualified Registered General Nurse and Registered Mental Health Nurse. She is in current clinical practice as a self-employed healthcare consultant. She undertakes governance audits, progress reports, consultations, development plans and reviews for CQC registered care providers. Her work spans across nursing and residential homes, domiciliary care and supported living.

Accepts instructions in liability cases to identify whether standards of care have been met in relation to:

• Care provision in nursing, care homes, domiciliary settings
• Acute admission wards
• Crisis intervention
• Individuals detained under the Mental Health Act
• Learning disability and/ or autism in-patient care.

Tanya applies her extensive clinical knowledge, further strengthened through her current work in undertaking mock inspections where she identifies areas of non-compliance and implements learning outcomes, combined with her strong understanding of NMC standards and NICE Guidance. Tanya is a Care Consultation Accreditation Framework (C-CAF) Accredited Consultant; having met the required legal, ethical and practical skills required to support providers with their regulated activities. Tanya has been reviewed as highly recommended to any care provider seeking to improve, grow, or strengthen their regulatory understanding. This coupled with her medico-legal training and knowledge of the legal principles underpinning liability claims, enables her to write detailed and reasoned reports on the standard of practice.
