Lizzie Sykes is a Registered Occupational Therapist since 2018 with a consultant specialism in Paediatrics. Prior to her current role, Lizzie worked at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. She currently holds a clinical and leadership position within Cambian Group Limited; both roles have involved working with a wide range of needs, including brain injury, developmental needs, and orthopaedic injuries ranging from minor to catastrophic levels of impairment.

She has assessed, recommended and provided specialist equipment, adaptations and therapeutic intervention for a range of individuals, managing complex caseloads across different settings including hospital, domiciliary, rehabilitation environments.

Lizzie has worked closely within MDTs, liaising with clinicians and treating therapists to maximise independence and function. She has supervised and trained students and staff; she has a detailed understanding of best practice, HCPC standards, undertaking assessments for accreditation criteria and bares these in mind when undertaking functional and standardised assessments.

Lizzie has had involvement and contributed towards the construction, ongoing management and regular review of domiciliary and residential care packages. She has undergone medico-legal training and understands her duties pursuant to Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules; she can accept instructions immediately and acts on behalf of Claimant and Defendant firms.
